Congratulations to Krissanapat Yomthong, a Ph.D. student from the School of Energy Science and Engineering (ESE) under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chularat Wattanakit for the recent article in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A.
Topic: Engineering ultrafine Cu nanoparticles supported on zeolites via solvent-free inter-zeolite transformation for bioethanol dehydrogenation
This work is highlighted in the novel approach to transform the aggregated or deactivated metal-supported zeolite into a freshly active metal-supported zeolite catalyst. The IZT process changes the crystal framework of zeolite into another kind of zeolite, as well as in-situ redisperses and promotes homogeneous distribution of metal nanoparticles. The catalytic activity of the dehydrogenation for acetaldehyde production was significantly improved using the transformed metal-supported zeolite catalyst.
